It's a 93 Lincoln and the motors work but the plastic gears are broke. I had an 86 Lincoln and the same thing happened and the guy I sold it to said he used a steel washer and they worked fine ever since. How do I do this?|||The usual cause of failure is 3 plastic rollers inside the motor, triangular case cover.
You can sometimes turn a pressure screw at the rear of the motor but the rollers are already broken, adjusting will only delay replacement and incur the extra work of another removal.|||You need a die grinder or "Dremmel tool" to cut teeth in the washer. Use the old one that has a few teeth in one spot as a pattern. good luck
