What are some issues that Abe Lincoln faced during his presidentcy?

how did Lincoln deal with these issues and how did these issues make him feel?|||Probably one of the biggest and most well known issue is slavery. Although, Lincoln wasn't necessarily against or for slavery, he wanted to "perserve the union" as he put it in a letter to Horace Greeley. He dealt with this with the emancipation proclamation, which freed slaves in any area not under the union's control (confederate state's). So slavery was essentially done away with for most states, since most union states were against slavery, and the confederate states had slavery absolished. The thirteenth amendment would later fully abolish slavery for the entire US and make it illegal.

As bad advice as this may sound, you may want to check out the wikipedia page on Lincoln. It has a ton of information about Lincoln on it that you can use to get ideas and do further reasearch on (away from wikipedia, as it isn't really considered an acceptable source). Good luck!|||the biggest issue he had to deal with was his death, I'm sure it did not make him feel good|||civil war, slavery, and i don't know how they made him feel... he's dead! look in a history book
