What happened to dr.mudd? and johns wilkes booth and the other people who helped him. also who was also shot when lincoln was shot?|||During the Lincoln assassination, they also attempted to kill Vice President Andrew Johnson, as well as there secretary of state.
Lincoln was the only one killed/shot. The assassin who was ordered to kill VP Johnson never did so, and the man who was responsible in killing the secretary of state messed up horribly and he lived. (the story how he lived was funny).
(The man who was supposed to kill Sec. of State was a "moron". His orders were to strangle him, so he did just that. However the sec of state was wearing a neck brace from a previous injury and therefore, no hands could strangle him through a steel neck brace.)
As for the 3 main assassins, Booth was killed in a barn because Union soldiers lit the barn on fire. The other two assassins were jailed/killed. Dr. Mudd was sent to a camp in Florida, but was later pardoned for his good deeds. The deeds he done was cure many people of the yellow fever down in Florida.
