I have a 1996 Lincoln towncar with auto windows. The window will not roll up electrically. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?|||First thing to check would be the fuse box. I'm not sure where it is in a 96 Towncar, but it's fairly easy to find if you have the owner's manual (you may also be able to Google it.) If the entire panel isn't working, then the fuse is probably the problem. If other things are working in that same panel then it's not likely a fuse.
It could also be the motor that pushes the window up and down. Or it could be that you need to pull out the control panel and replace it. If it's the motor, that's a more complicated repair.|||If the motor sounds striped, and you can pull it up by hand, its the motor. If the motor makes a noise for 2 seconds then stops, its the window regulator. Simple to fix if you did enough of them
