But my real question for all of us who have watched, backed-up our TiVos and rewatched that scene to figure out what a Lincoln Log sandwich really is: Have any of you guys actually TRIED one? Are they any good?
Am I going to be the guinnea pig here?|||I grew up in New Jersey and I vaguely remember these, but I don't think it was a formal dish. It was one of those concoctions served in some New Jersey school cafeterias. Kind of like "pizza burgers" if some remember those. But though I remember the name, I can't remember how they were made.

|||Okay so we know it was toast, with hotdog wieners split with cream cheese filling but are the hotdogs cold, warm, or hot?
I think it sounds like a descent snack albeit a little on the fattening side. Oh well that is what they make light cream cheese for! Off I go to the kitchen...|||here, try this recipe. sounds yummy!|||hahaha I just watched the Soprano's too and came on to ask this question and you beat me to it.|||I think it one of Camella's recipes|||haha i just paused it to ask that question too... they look gross ...no wonder Aj doesnt want them! and judging by the aftermath they must be pretty terrible to contlemplate eating!
what are they! haha cant believe this post has started!|||My question exactly!! I checked every search engine possible and there are no recipes. Oh well, hopefully someone, somewhere will come up with the correct ingredients!!|||The tub she is putting in the fridge is Philadelphia ... you can tell from the logo.
john|||Yes, i watched the same episode and was wondering the same thing. i know a couple of hard cookin italians though so i will ask them tomorrow. lol|||I was just coming here to ask the same thing!
After close analysis of the segment (thanks via DVR) it was two pieces of bread, topped with four hotdogs sliced down the middle and stuffed with cream cheese. Sounds weird, but those Italians obviously know how to cook, so it must be good!!! =)|||lol im watching it now and paused to find out what it is.
hot dogs split open with a knife, filled with cream cheese on top to toast 2 dogs per toast.
idk but im still hungry|||I am also looking for an answer to this question. I watched the episode of The Sopranos last night three times trying to figure it out. I can say for sure that the white substance you see on the sandwich is, in fact, cream cheese because you can clearly see Carmella returning a package of this to the refrigerator after she makes the sandwiches.|||My husband and I were trying to figure that out too. I come from a long line of Italians, and my Grandmother, Aunts etc. came up with what some, not familiar with Italian customs, might find odd or different, none of which were a Lincoln Log sandwich!!
