How did Abraham Lincoln feel about states' rights during the Civil War?

I have to write a report about Abraham Lincoln. I have looked on google and wikipedia and I cannot find anything about Lincoln and states' rights. Can you please help me? How did Lincoln feel about states' rights?

The link should give you enough info.|||Lincoln believed in states' rights but believed that the rights of human beings (slaves) was much more important. States' right in the South were for slavery so if Lincoln supported state's rights in the south or almost anywhere then he would be supporting slavery.|||He felt they were secondary to the preservation of the Union. Whether or not you agree with this sentiment, it's socioeconomic ramifications or it's constitutionality is, of course, up for debate.|||Look harder.
